Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Society Malaysia idea was mooted and initiated by Sri Subramaniyam also known affectionately as “ Mani Anna “, the great grandnephew of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. He was also responsible to connect our Satsang group with Ramana Maharshi Centre of Learning of Bangalore and they made their visit to Malaysia led by its President Dr Sarada Natarajan in 2018.
The Founder and Spiritual Guide of the Society, Thevendran took the responsibility to spearhead the Society with great dedication to uphold and disseminate the teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. He had the darshan of Bhagavan in 2005 in Malaysia and within two weeks after the darshan, he made his first visit to Sri Ramanasramam Thiruvannamalai on 22nd July 2005 and had the Grace of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi that transformed his life from that moment.
With Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi’s grace, the Malaysian Chapter of the Society was launched and formed on 14th December 2018 and continued to draw devotees and spiritual seekers.
Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Society Malaysia is a spiritual movement registered as a Non Profitable Organisation with the Registrar of Society, Malaysia. The goal of the Society is purely spiritual, and is open to all seekers and devotees of Sri Bhagavan. The Society aims to provide a quiet environment for introspection and contemplation on Sri Bhagavan's teachings along with the practise of Self Enquiry. A resource centre comprising reading materials, audios, DVD's are available for those wanting to learn more about Bhagavan’s life and teachings.
Attending Satsang and Practicing Bhagavan’s Teaching is a crucial part of seeker’s sadhana and Bhagavan’s Centre plays an important role in it.
